Suomenlinna is a historical sea fortress and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Finland with about one million yearly visitors. The island is also a city district and a home of about 800 residents. Suomenlinna is easily accessible and is situated only a 15-minute boat trip away from the city centre of Helsinki.
